My name is Marta Vegdahl-Crowell (she/her/hers), and I'm a Senior Admissions Counselor at Seattle University. Should you have any questions about Seattle University or the application process, please don't hesitate to schedule an interview or connect with me throughout the upcoming weeks or months.

    Contact me: MartaVC@seattleu.edu or (206) 296-2825

I work with students from: Kitsap and Olympic Peninsula, Central and Eastern Washington, Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio.

Favorite place to grab a cup of coffee in Seattle: I go to Kaladi Brothers Coffee almost every morning before work. It is a big open space (could be good for studying!!) with comfy chairs, great music, and Alaskan-roasted coffee. It is also only a ten-minute walk from SU! Very convenient.

    .
My favorite Seattle artist: Brandi Carlile! Her voice is amazing, her storytelling through song is unmatched, she lives out social justice values in her daily life, and she's best friends with Elton John & Joni Mitchell—two other favorites! So proud she's from our city.
    .
Why I love working at Seattle U: We are a mission-driven institution—everything we do connects to SU's mission to "educate the whole person, to professional formation, and to empower leaders for a just and humane world." I love that in each application I read, student I connect with, and co-worker I talk to, the common thread is that we are working to empower leaders for a just and humane world. That is a great mission to get behind.

Please see below for opportunities to connect at my upcoming school visits or during interviews throughout the Fall.
