My name is Juan Ortiz (he/him/they/them), and I'm an Admissions Counselor at Seattle University. Should you have any questions about Seattle University or the application process, please don't hesitate to schedule an interview or connect with me throughout the upcoming weeks or months.
Contact me: JuanO@seattleu.edu or call/text: 206-614-2266
I work with students from: the Portland, OR/Vancouver WA area, South Seattle (White Center to Federal Way)
ABOUT ME
College major: BA in Journalism, University of Oregon
My favorite place to grab a cup of coffee near campus: Mighty-O Donuts has a fabulous iced dirty chai. The donuts are really good, too! And it's right across the street from the Seattle University campus.
My favorite dinner spot in Seattle: Racha Thai! You can find the restaurant in the Queen Anne neighborhood here in Seattle.
Do you have a favorite fun fact about SU? We are the first Jesuit university in the world to divest from fossil fuels.
What's your advice for students in the admissions process? Don't be afraid to ask questions. No question is a silly question so please, ask us Admissions Counselors anything and everything!
.
Please see below for opportunities to connect at my upcoming school visits or during interviews throughout the Fall.
